Description (En) : IRO encompasses all activities involved in the supply industry, such as engineering, field development, pipeline installation, maintenance and material and equipment supply / manufacturing, onshore as well as offshore. The association furthers the interests of its 300 member companies in the field of politics, economics and technical affairs on a regional, national and international level.
To promote the qualities of Dutch suppliers in the oil and gas industry IRO organises participation in several oil and gas exhibitions worldwide. Other activities include trade missions, market research, seminars and information services.
The aim of the association and its European partners is to keep its finger on the pulse of the network of the European Union in Brussels. As a member of EUROGIF, IRO closely monitors the effects of European politics and strives for recognition of the hydrocarbon supply and service industry and finally budget extension for new technology programmes. On behalf of the European Commission IRO co-ordinates joint industry research projects whose goals are to stimulate the development of innovative technologies.
