2009 | Jacobs Receives Three Framework Contracts From Eni for Front-End Engineering Services
Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. announced that it received three framework contracts from Eni S.p.A. (Eni) to provide multidisciplinary, front-end engineering services to three of Eni's operating units: Refining and Marketing, Exploration and Production, and Polimeri Europa.
Officials did not disclose the contract values, yet noted that each has a 3-year duration.
Eni is a major integrated energy company operating in the oil and gas, electricity generation and sale, petrochemicals, and oilfield services construction and engineering industries. The company is active in 70 countries and has a staff of about 76,000 employees.
Jacobs will develop extended basic design packages and cost estimates for some Eni projects and will execute the work from its office in Milan, Italy.
In making the announcement, Jacobs Group Vice President Robert Matha stated, "We are very excited to develop new relationships with Eni. Our values and global presence are very similar and we are enthusiastic to provide extensive support of its critical operations in sectors where Jacobs is also a leader. We are committed to delivering high-quality services and confident that we will add value to Eni's position as an international market leader."
